Shenandoah Trio The Shenandoah Trio formed in 1959, and originally consisted of Richard 'Dick' Torst, Earl Dummer, and Dennis 'Bunky' Arnold. They all went to school and church together, playing various small gigs. Their first break came when Dick was booked on a Search for a song TV show, one of the producers wanted the song he was submitting before the audition, which Dick didn't want to give up the rights to.
