Weve simultaneously killed off our confidence within each other and for each other

The simple fact that everything was new exuded confidence, and it was above it, for emotion was raw and ungaurded but it didnt matter. We were open to ourselves and each other with each new step, not caring about the costs that were being spent. We didnt need confidence then.   weve destroyed the confidence within us and simultaneously the confidence within the other. Now each step is hesitant unsure with the fear that even the very effort might be flung out and fall upon the ground at the feet of one who was not even looking in our direction.
