The feminist movement has helped make great strides in equality for women's issues, such as voting, voices, etc. And has been able to make men and women equal on legal and civil issues. In furthering women's issues and equality, some may have taken equality too far with trying to erase distinctions between men and women. No doubt we are biologically different and think slightly in different ways, yet there are ranges within all people that cross over these differences as it is. To say we should all be called 'humans', would negate the fundamental need for catagorization and description. 4. The differences between men and women should be celebrated and not erased. This is an advantage. Another would be since men and women approach things differently, they can use their differences in specific ways such as in general women are more nurturing than men. Mne are more duty bound. These are generalizations of course. Disadvantages would be that when we generalize, we can be misconstrued in our point or stance on an issue.
