Budget When extra money comes in the in the form of child support etc or a higher paycheck, that money goes directly to first paying off credit cards, second going into savings emergency fund, figured going into a budget item somewhere. Cash on hand doesn't mean extra money to spend. Everything needs to be on the budget. Birthdays, Scout Camp, weekly personal spending, anything else that would be spent on. We need to come up with a new amounts for birthday spending, look at the year and budget for how many more things we have. We need to figure out how the work that were doing up at your parents house is that coming out of our budget or are we getting reimbursed?
