20160202 pathway

Week 3 pathway Journal 20160124 Sunday, and I've had my bits of pondering and meditation. Not enough as usual, but being the Sabbath it is usually more of a day of spiritual reflection. Been helping out at my in laws, as they are getting older we are now spending two nights a week of their house helping them out. That alone causes me to reflect more on the eternities and the trials of life. I am serving them in these their waning years to make their lives more comfortable. 20160125 I was able to reflect a lot today, both on my morning break and lunch. As my wife was working and not available, and I had eaten earlier, I had my lunch break to walk and read the scriptures. It is fulfilling to communicate with the spirit without the distractions of the many things that can crowd my mind. 20160126 Some days are obviously, this is as far finding illness within and your peace. Almost getting into tonight search for it yet and middle of concerns in the day it is nowhere to be found. Next bland will be you too mary don't into everything that I do, no matter what is going on. 20160127 I've been getting on my goals this week working towards them. Although one of my goals was to review my math exercises each day along with my scriptures. Today I remember reviewing some work that I have completed, but not new problems. Still counts. Today was also very little less on the meditative / contemplative side, I did it in little bits and pieces but not in a whole block. 20 house food 20160128 Gonna puke. I ate way too much pie. But I paid my two bucks so I was going to get my moneys worth. Acyltually this is how my life is, I try to keep in balance, but then I do something that throws me way off. Time to walk it off. 2 eat out Discover card Gathering to week 4. The study skills that we went over this week was nice the skill of principles and doctrines. We discussed how we can find these eternal truths in the Scriptures as we read. They can look for things that are portable in the Scriptures to take out and use in my daily life. for the directed study we chose option 1 pacifically leading chapter 48 of Elmo verses eight and nine. We need sounds places in the scriptures that correlated with the war that we are currently fighting. Need more chapters talked about building places of refuge hand how we need to have places of refuge for spiritual protection. Home temple meditation. also fortifying and strengthening the weakest areas of the cities, and how we need to fortify and strengthen our own personal weaknesses. Math learning report. What I enjoyed most about this lesson, was that it was fairly straightforward and simple still, like last lesson. I learned some things and yet still did not nail down the concept certain portions of working with negative numbers, which is apparent from my exam. inter I learn from working on my goal that spending time each day working specific map problems and reviewing them is beneficial. I think I will continue to do this next week but focus more on specific problems that I've been having and weak points.. I will be using the same goal that I had last week but modify it a little bit and working more specifically on weak areas. In a few sentences respond to the following question as you focus on the Scriptures, what are you noticing now that you haven't noticed before. Nothing. I have always gotten the most that I could out of reading the scriptures whenever I read either a entire chapter/section or a single three word verse. Actually I wish this was the case but I am evolving little by little, line upon line, precept upon precept. I have noticed that there are many study skills and things in the scriptures to read that can confirm faith in ways other than just the spirit, that there are writing styles and authorship that can be traced back past Joseph Smith's translations which are faith affirming. In a few sentences respond to the following question which digging deeper video have the most impact on you this week. Be sure to name the speaker and topic. Neal A Maxwell's talk entitled Endure It Well. I have always been a Neal A Maxwell fan, & I love his quotes. I especially like the quote that he had during his talk, which was "...forced change usually does not last, while productive enduring can engrain permanent change". How has the time you are spending in the scriptures and other activities in this class, help you to keep the commandments you are already keeping an aspire to inspire you to be better in your other commitments? I noticed the most dramatic change of course in the first semester, I was always reading the scriptures before but time I was reading more in depth and along with other studies had found a spiritual increase. Also I have been able to make some changes to my life in my daily walk that have helped me to have the spirit more fully with me.
