20160106 pathway
My name is Rob Herr, I was born just outside of Chicago and my family moved to California in 1979. In California I had my first exposure to the church through friends of mine. I took the lessons when I was 14 and wasn't quite ready to join the church at that time, because I knew that I would be jumping into it with both feet so to speak. After my younger sister passed away and I thought more about my mortality, I decided to act on the promptings that received and joined the church at 18. Two years later I served a mission in the Louisville Kentucky, Hamilton/Cincinnati Ohio, and Boonville Indiana areas.
I use math on a daily basis for work, although I'm pretty rusty in some areas. I kept track of my mileage and fuel consumption on a recent motorcycle trip to Sturgis South Dakota, of about 4,000 miles round trip. I have budgeted on and off throughout my life, but with varying degrees of success. Budgeting became more effective when both my spouse and I were on the same page and budgeted together, taking ownership in the budgeting process.
