20151012 pathway
My current career is in the engineering field. I am currently working as an engineering technician senior engineering technician, which is to say I am a day what would be a journey man level position. I am at the top of my professional career in my specific field. For me to be able to gain promotions or job opportunities above this level, I would need additional certification, associates or bachelors degree, or professional engineering certification. I got into this position I got into this career from starting off as a drafter, and working my way up into the more complex versions of engineering. The professional certification that I would need would be Hey testing would be passing a test that is required for all Professional Engineers. I do not currently think that I could pass this test as I have been out of school for so long and I'm a bit rusty on some of the math, and fluid mechanics that I would need. Enter enter enter
Hi believe that success in this career that I am currently working in, would be to have stable gainful employment, which I currently have. I am grateful for my profession and career, hand get it provides us with the stability. My current career supplies the coverage for the needs of my family and I, hand is fairly stable. What's my current career, experience, and skill sets semicolon I could find typical employment to the career that I am in almost anywhere. I have work in this profession and career for the last 20 plus years and have the desire to continue to progress into higher paying positions, which I would not be able to do with my current situation. I am hoping that's gaining additional schooling, and knowledge will allow me to be able to get the certifications and/or degrees that I wouldn't need to help me advance.
The risks that I have noticed over the past few years, with staying in this career are that has inflation and time goes on., that the amount of compensation and increase of compensation has become limited. That the percentage of salary that I make compared to the cost of living will decrease over time. That's in 10 years time I will actually be making less then I am now. For the last 15 out of 20 years I have had a gradual increase in compensation that has been ahead of our cost of living. Although our cost of living has increased with children growing older and changes in lifestyle, my career has been able to keep up within these changes. Over the last 5 years the increases have slowed where our cost of living has continued to rise. we have budgeted and cut back on expenses, but these are also just band aids. to be able to keep up with future expenses, retirement savings, future changes in health care costs, etc I would need to have a continued increase in salary as well
A full career change at this point would not be feasible for me. The main risk is we have very little savings at this point to sustain through the transition of one career to another. I am currently in a well established career and have a good set of skills for my particular career. Learning completely new skills and experiences would not be impossible, but would mean that there would be A learning curve that would most likely result in lower compensation for. Of time. The possible benefits could be that if the career change is a major one that either has higher compensation. There is the possibility of moving into another career that is more fulfilling, that it would make life more enjoyable. That would have its merits, because a more fulfilling career could be more beneficial overall rather than just compensation. But compensation is also in our day and society correlated with A security and lifestyle fulfillment. Can
My current career has heavy impact on my life in a very positive way, actually many positive ways. Since the beginning when my wife and I first got married my career choice has helped us to have stability and gainful employment and I have always been able to have a steady job. Spiritually that has helped us as well because the stability of a job and career has enabled us to able to live where we wanted to not be forced to move from one place to another. There were times in the beginning when it was hard to put food on the table and make rent. not that these are spiritually damaging, because we can find great spiritual strength in adversity and trials. But the stability of the career that I am in has enabled us to afford our children good education and provided with them provided for them the things that they needed as they grow. Groove. through. Guru. Grew up.
The other career opportunity that I chose was that of professional photographer. One of the main reasons that I chose this career is because I've always been interested in photography and have shot a few weddings and portraits here and there. It is a creative career which I am interested in. which also is what interested me in my current career has it was a little more creative when I first got into it. bad back to photography though, there is a creative outlet there in photography that is appealing. because a career should be one that gives you adequate compensation for your needs as well as filling your interests,. And photography is one that fulfills my interests more than taking care of my compensation needs.
The average annual salary for a photography career varies horrendously depending on which specific type of photography you go into . Google lists the median pay for 2012 as 28490 US dollars. and because it is a. And because it is. Because it is a very self directed career you can do very well at it, or struggle if you're not self motivated. There are two main reasons that I have not gone into photography as my main source of income. the number one reason is because the compensation starting off with the would not be enough to cover our needs as a family. The potential in photography - have a very lucrative career is there, but it takes so long to build up a reputation and client base that it is not feasible for me. The second reason is that I enjoy photography partly because I do not depend on it for my sustenance. If I were to be a professional photographer for full time and depend on it for my income I would probably not enjoy it as much as I do currently.
Depending on how far you want to go in the Apocrypha career, would depend on if you would need a degree or not. If you were teaching photography you would need to then have a degree at least a BA degree to + your teaching credentials to teach photography. If you are looking to be working photographer, general skill sets and quote unquote some college or trade school experience would be enough. BYU Idaho offers the base necessary education to qualify for a photography career. BYU Idaho does offer a degree program for Photography. There are two local junior colleges within a 20 mile radius that offer degree programs in photography. There is also
There are currently many job openings for photographers and associated Photography careers, within my local area. I would not need to relocate to obtain one of these jobs. Craigslist and other online advertisements there are always people looking for small short-term jobs for photographers. And. Which then makes this career exceptional as a part time, or second job. This also would be a good quote unquote retirement job, as it could be used for continued employment. Also for extra income, supplemental income, and they continued creative outlet.
